With Spring around the corner, now is the time to revamp your menu. Do you need to add more or new items to your concession stand or food truck? Hot dogs and pizza are great because they are quick and easy but they get repetitive after a while. One of my personal favorite cuisines is Mexican food. I mean who doesn't love a taco? The only problem is that they can be messy to eat while walking. I present to you the Walking Taco.
Most concession stands already sell bags of nacho chips. Nachos are the base of the Walking Taco. Simply open a snack size bag, add some taco meat of your choice as well as toppings. If you serve nachos, pour some nacho cheese on top. Chili Pie walking tacos are just as easy.... You slice off the side of a package of corn chips, ladle chili over the chips, then top with grated cheese and diced onions.
The toppings you add will also determine the cost you charge (lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa, sour cream, etc.). It's quick, it's easy, and your customers can eat it without it becoming a mess. It's a win/win!
